Linda has been a licensed therapist since 1983. She was the Director of Genesis III Counseling Center in Fort Myers , Florida , a faith-based outpatient clinic, for 3 years. Linda is best known for her roll in the Lee County public school system as a guidance counselor since 1979, having been employed at elementary, middle and high school levels and in adult education. She was awarded “ Lee County 's Counselor of the Year” in 1994. Her training is in both Psychology and Social Work. She earned her MA in counseling at the University of West Florida in 1978. Over the years, Linda has developed skills in treating families with parenting issues and child development concerns. She has worked extensively with divorce recovery and grieving programs. She is also a trained Stephen Minister, a church-based caring ministry. Solution-focused, brief therapy has allowed Linda to see many hurting families and individuals over short periods of time with successful results. She will individualize programs to assist in the treatment of AD/HD, O.C.D., O.D.D., anger management and many other diagnosed mental health problems. Linda sees the urgency to specifically address the need for every one of God's children to have a personal relationship with Jesus. She is a member of the Lee County Counselors Association, the Gulf Coast Mental Health Counselors Association, the Southwest Florida Marriage and Family Therapists Association and the American Association of Christian Counselors. April Brown has an educational background as an Educational Specialist. She has a Masters degree in Mental Health and School Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Florida State University . She has worked as a counselor for the last six years. Currently, April is a school counselor and she also works as a Mental Health Intern for Genesis Counseling. She was awarded the “Lee County Counselor of the Year” in 2002 and the Golden apple scholarship recipient in 2003. She also works as a Career Planning Assistant at Edison College on a part time basis. April is a Christian counselor. She loves helping people see the faith, hope, and love within themselves and empowering them to face life's challenges. Life will also have its ups and down, but it is how we cope with these trials that causes disharmony in our lives. Thus, as a counselor, April tries to provide an empathetic atmosphere for her clients to realize that they are not alone in their struggles and they have interpersonal strength to change themselves. Arlin has been in Christian ministry since 1963. His academic studies and training have taken him to seven different colleges and universities. He served as Pastor in Christian Churches and Churches of Christ in Ohio , Indiana , Kentucky , Florida and in his home state of North Carolina . He has counseled extensively with individuals, couples and families over those years. He served as Chaplain to Genesis III Counseling Center in Ft. Myers , Florida. He presently serves as one of the staff ministers at First Christian Church of Ft. Myers , Florida since 2001. His main area of counseling expertise is with pre-marriage, marriage and crisis marriage counseling. He has also worked with individuals with anger management, depression and “workers burnout”, and individual personality analysis. Arlin has written articles on marriage and personal relationships that have been published in national publications. He has written books dealing with the Biblical concepts and purpose of marriage and on Christian Apologetics. In 1975 he was selected as one of the “Outstanding Young Men in America .” He has developed a system for “Personality Analysis” which enables people to understand their personality type and how to appreciate their type when dealing with life's issues. In using this effective tool, people are able to learn more about themselves and to learn of the people in the Bible who have the same personality traits.
